After quite a vigorous spring clean on Sunday my little flat doesn't have too many messy corners this week. However my bookcases are still a constant source of shame since I moved. I am a big fan of books arranging by author and then chronologically in the case of fiction and if non-fiction grouped by subject and then author. Considering I am extremely messy by nature it has been quite shocking that on the whole I generally tend to abide by these rooms. However when I moved my books got quite out of order and although I have tried on occasion to muster the enthusiasm to sort them out, they are still in disarray.
vive la mess! I love seeing the stuff people have about them - was immediately struck by the concertina, and your wee blue hippo (from the louvre?)

I think your bookshelves look really interesting, especially because of all the bits and pieces on them. I like places that have developed in layers, like an onion. I bet everything there has a story.
